Why I haven't posted...

It started last week when I just couldn't seem to upload my blog. I was dying to... pictures of the baby and all, you know. But although I tried again and again, it just wouldn't work. Finally, when I got home on Thursday evening, all of a sudden I was able to upload a blog I had written on Monday. Then... more trouble.

Today I taught a songwriting workshop all day... three hour-long classes this morning, lunch, critiquing this afternoon, and then two more hours of classes. All of this was for the St. Louis Songwriters Group. I do love those people, and some of them are getting scary good with their writing. I heard some wonderful songs today. Twila Labar drove up from Nashville to teach with me, and even though we only taught together this afternoon, it was still a lot of fun.

After I left the workshop at about 4:30 and made sure Twila got on the right road to head home, I went by the Apple Store in West County Mall. Mike greeted me as I walked through the door... and then he spent the next three-plus hours with me, trying to figure out what the heck was going on with my blog. Finally... after much testing and experimenting, he concluded that I was the first person he knew of to completely max out iWeb's memory. The only solution he could suggest is to wait for the new version of iWeb to be released soon and then try it. UGH! So frustrating. But I must say, people-watching at the Apple Store is fascinating.

On the way home, I drove to my mom and dad's house and visited with them for a little while. My dad fell again the other day in their driveway and got a pretty big lump on the back of his head. He went to the emergency room, but they didn't find anything wrong... yet, he has been dizzy for the last two days. He sure could use your prayers.

Thank God for John. While I was gone, he did my laundry and even did some ironing for me. I leave for Estes Park early in the morning. That's part of the reason I wanted to start this temporary blog... I didn't want to miss blogging about Estes. I can't promise there will be pictures, but I'll se what I can figure out. Not quite sure how I'm going to let everyone know where the blog has moved to... but let's see what I can come up with.

More tomorrow night...

Maxed out your computer? Well the Apple store only confirmed what the rest of us already knew. Sue Smith is way above average! --Bev

"Hmmm," he says, with a wry smile.
